The death of someone you love is profoundly difficult and planning a funeral can seem a daunting task especially when you are grieving.
Our Ministers can help you put together a service which reflects your cherished memories. It does not have to include hymns, and instead you can have music which reminds you of the person who meant a great deal to you.
It would include prayers for all the family, a Bible reading chosen to suit your situation, and a closing prayer of committal and commendation as we place your Loved One into God’s safe-keeping.
The funeral can take place at the Crematorium as either a burial or cremation, and the Church of England fee for this is currently £199 (2020).
There is also the possibility of a service in church, which can take place before or after burial / cremation. In addition, a short service can be held when ashes are buried at a time when you feel this is right for you and your family.
If you are considering a Christian Funeral, please contact Rev. Andy Greaves-Brown at andy@churchoos.org.uk
As a first step she will arrange to visit you and your family at home to talk through the service in detail.
May you know God’s loving care at this time.
