A Christmas Tree

Christmas Tree Hope Festival

Sunday 13 - 20 December 2020

The Hope Trail is coming to Chelmer Village and Chancellor Park. Would you like to decorate a Christmas Tree with the theme of “hope”?

What are your hopes for 2021?

A COVID vaccine, health and happiness, to receive God’s love, meeting together again as a family, planning for holidays and to start watching sport again.

To celebrate Christmas this year, in a socially distant manner in the light of COVID-19 restrictions, we would like to invite you to take part in our Christmas Tree Festival Hope Trail.

We hope this will be a celebration of our village and communities with many individuals, groups, charities and businesses taking part from in and around Chelmer Village and Chancellor Park.

We would love you to take part by decorating a tree with the theme of “Hope” and displaying this in your front garden/shop window. If you don’t have a front garden to display your tree in, then we can put it in our Church Garden for the week.

There are two £25 prizes: the ‘Best Dressed Tree’ (decided by a public vote) and the ‘Most Environmentally Friendly Tree’ (decided by Church of Our Saviour). There will be a walking trail around each of the trees entered into our competition and the map will be available to access for free from our website.

To enter your tree a fee of £5 is required to ensure the location of your Christmas Tree is added to our Hope Trail.

All money raised will go towards our Christmas Hamper and Picnic Bag scheme supporting families in our local community.

Winners will be announced at the Sunday service at 10am on 20th December. Details of how to attend will appear on our website nearer the time.

Thank you for your generous support.
